McCrea West of Scotland's senior teams have had a strong first half of the 2017 season. Now we are at the halfway mark for the league, here are the details.
McCrea West of Scotland are top of WDCU Division One (league table above) with six wins from seven matches.
Everyone has contributed well, with notable efforts from Hashen Ramanayake (244 runs, 15 wickets), Jon Fearn (235 runs), Ian Young (203 runs) Gavin Smith (11 wickets) and James Fennah (181 Runs, 6 wickets).
In the cup competitions, McCrea West of Scotland have also fared well. A promising Scottish Cup run was ended with a 1 wicket loss against a strong Heriot's side. However, in better news, the T20 team face Ferguslie in the quarter final of the McCulloch Cup and Prestwick in the semi-final of the Rowan Cup.
Partick currently sit in second place in the Premier Reserve League. James Williamson (206 runs) and Blaal Hussain (158 runs, 15 wickets) have shown great skills. The 2nd XI look strong and are determined to move one place up.
Partick are also still in the Greenwood Trophy T20 competition and looking for a semi-final spot.
Hamilton Crescent are top of the Evening League Division Two after three matches, with six more scheduled to play. The Development XI have played more friendlies than league games. However with seven games to play, captain Mike Ashworth is working hard to bring on the developing cricketers and push from mid-table to challenge for the Sunday League Division One title.
Overall, a fantastic first half of wins, drama and fun. Let's hope the rest of the season brings even more success!
