Big Ideas Fund: West Aims to Build Community Links

1 week ago By David Hinchliffe

Community voting in Partick to Help Low Income Families.

A bid has been made to Partick and Thornwood Big Ideas Fund to give 10 children from low income families a chance to take part in West's 2019 All Stars programme.

Working with the Local Active Schools' Coordinator and Head Teachers, the children will be acquire basic cricketing skills during the eight 1 hour sessions to be held in 2019. Parents and carers will be encouraged to take part in the All Stars ensuring that they too benefit from taking part and have a great time with their child.

We hope that, if successful, this will be a positive step towards forming stronger links with the wider local community.

Round 2 Presentations and community voting will take place on Monday 3 December between 5.45 and 8.30pm at the Partick Housing Association offices.
