McCrea West of Scotland kick off the 2018 campaign with a home tie against Poloc on Saturday.
West's return to Premier League cricket sees the core of the Division One champion team, with a couple of new faces.
Ian Young, James Fennah and Nick Boller (overseas amateur) are ones to watch with the bat. Gavin Smith has been bowling with fire in the nets while experienced campaigner Dave McNulty is certain to extract swing.
There will be two new Baggy Roons on Saturday. Zimbabwe International Trevor Garwe has arrived to cause maximum damage with ball and bat. Simon Naitram finishes off the international flavour of the side that contains players from six countries. Cricket in Partick brings the world together!
West's opposition for the first game are Poloc. The south side team have undergone a number of changes in the winter after a mid-table finish in 2017. Batsmen Snyman and Young are established in the side and always dangerous. Both teams will be looking to make a stamp on the league early with a strong start, so it's bound to be an epic battle.
The full team is:
Gregg Watson (Captain)
Weather permitting, the game starts at 12pm on Saturday 28 April at Hamilton Crescent. The welcome at the bar will keep you warm, even if conditions require a jacket.
