West Success Down Under

8 months ago By David Hinchliffe

Reports are good from Australia as Jon Fearn represents the Baggy Roons.

This winter the Roon Army has extended its reach as far as Cobram, Victoria: Jon Fearn is plundering runs and wickets with a season as an overseas star.

The left hander has been demonstrating his usual no nonsense style with the bat. By all reports he is also becoming a useful all-rounder with his fizzing left arm spin. In the most recent match Fearn notched 52 runs and 2-42 with the ball.

It has yet to be recorded how the locals are adapting to a Tamworth accent and the increase in lost balls from range hitting practice.

West will continue to monitor the progress of Fearny and everyone’s at the club wishes him further and greater success before his return home in the spring!
