West Women are Wonderful at Wee Bash

2 weeks ago By David Hinchliffe

Indoor cricket festival huge success for West of Scotland

West of Scotland competed in their first cricket tournament on Sunday in the Wee Bash, finishing in third place.

West Women - playing in the Glasgow leg of the festival - won all their games but one convincingly, their only loss coming to Glasgow University team, made up of many West players itself, in a closely fought contest. Finishing second in the group West managed to win the 3rd/4th place play off against Watsonians convincingly.

Congratulations to Glasgow University who went unbeaten throughout the whole tournament and ended up as deserving winners. Many thanks to all those who participated.

The Wee Bash is Scotland's festival of cricket for women. It's organised by Cricket Scotland and West would like to extend big thanks to the organisers for the day.

West Women are looking forward to the next tournament on Sunday 18th November 2018.

If anyone would like to get involved please email women@woscc.co.uk for details of how to join.
