Just to confirm today's SCU Trophy match between Hillhead and Gala is at Hamilton Crescent - WITH A 1PM START.

On a sunny, summer day at Hamilton Crescent, in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd, McCrea FS West beat BarclaysWealth Grange by 37 runs. A half century by Youngy and 49 from the pro, with 30s from Stuart Murray and Ross Brown produced a total of 256 before tea. Tight bowling and some superb fielding restricted the much vaunted Edinburgh visitors to 219 with the Pirate catapulting the last man's middle stump to complete the win.
And at Shawholm, in front of a smaller gathering, Partick continued their winning ways by beating Shawholm by 7 wickets. Highlight of Partick's win was hat trick from Gurjit Singh to finish the home sides innings.

Having heard the weekend forecast can we confidently predict that Partick will play Shawholm in the south side this Saturday? Jonny Graham's troops are currently 5th in the SNCL Reserve League with 4 wins, 3 Losses and 2 abandons, so are looking to enhance their burgeoning winning run.

Saturday sees McCrea FS West entertain Grange in SNCL Just a reminder that Saturday games start at 1pm - seems a long time since the last home game!!

Dare we hope for dry weather?

I can confirm that Norman's funeral will be held on Wednesday 29th June at 2pm at Clydebank Crematorium (North Dalnottar).

With the first week of summer camp starting tomorrow (27th June), there will be no junior practice tomorrow evening. Normal service will resume next week.

I am very sorry to have to announce the death last Thursday of Norman McLeod.
Our sympathies go to Christine, Niall and Alasdair at this sad time.
Norman made a massive contribution to West over many years and he will be sorely missed. Funeral arrangements are still to be completed.

Well ------ weather permitting ----- McCrea FS West should be joining Clydesdale, Poloc and Weirs at Weirs Ground in the south side for a one-off 20/20 extravaganza. Check before you travel!
The fixture list takes Partick to Uddingston. Could there be a reunion with a former West opener?
