The West of Scotland Cricket Club social committee is delighted to announce that the annual Race Night will take at Hamilton Crescent on 27 June 2026. The Race Night is always a highlight of the social calendar, so please join us for a great fundraiser for the club and a good opportunity to showcase our support from local businesses.
How It Works
Each race is sponsored by a local business, providing a great prize for the winning horse. You can get involved by buying a horse - or horses! - for £10 each before the Race Night. There are 8 races total with each race sponsored twice, so 16 great prizes to be won. All the races will be shown on the big screen at the club house, so get down and cheer your horse along!
How do I buy a horse?
You have to be in it to win it! Buy horses by emailing the club at westofscotlandcc@gmail.com to be in with a chance of winning. We'll email back, confirming and sorting payment all ahead of the race night. Horses are already selling fast, so get involved now to not miss out. Alternatively reach out to Callum Dutia who will sort your entry out in person.

Dinner for two at Bantawala by Masala Twist, the Indian street food hub on Byres Road
£100 to spend at Celinos Partick, the traditional Italian Deli and Trattoria

Lunch and a bottle of wine at Mr Singh's India, serving Indian with a Scottish twist for 20+ years
A Whisky and Chocolate Tour at Clydeside Distillery for 2, include 5 single malt whiskys paired with specially produced artisan chocolates
£100 at Nadia Rose Tattoo with a branded T-Shirt, for anyone looking for their next piece of ink
A night at Glenskirlie Castle Hotel, including Dinner and Breakfast at the 4 star accomodation

Can I sponsor a race?
Absolutely! We are still looking for a few great prizes for the races, so please reach out if you have anything you would like to support the club with. Just drop us an email or reach out to any of the social committee!
Anything else I need to know?
Entry on the day is £10, and there will be plenty opportunity to win this back, so bring cash! Other than that, the invite will go out on Spond soon. If you are not on Spond, just drop us an email to confirm you are coming and we will make sure there is space.
Please note - you do not have to attend to be in with a chance of winning! Feel free to buy a horse (or two) even if you cannot make the event, as there is plenty prizes to be won.
