Bill Maxwell

We are sorry to share with members the very sad news that former West player, Bill Maxwell, has passed away in hospital. An all-rounder who represented West 1st XI and the Partick XI in the 1980s and 1990s, his cricketing skills developed through the club Junior ranks, in which he was captain in his final season. His father, George, had been a former West player, umpire and Hon Secretary.

We offer our sincere condolences to Bill’s wife, Mandy, and daughters, Niamh and Lucy.

Bill’s funeral will take place on Thursday 23rd October at 3.45pm at Maryhill Crematorium, with everyone invited back to the Pavilion at West thereafter.
