Saturday

GHK vs Allied Vehicles West of Scotland

Allied Vehicles West of Scotland remain on the road this weekend, making the short trip across Glasgow to face GHK in a local Premiership One derby. Following last Saturday’s impressive victory at Ayr, West have climbed to third in the table and will be looking to continue their strong recent form as they aim to close the gap on second-placed Ferguslie. Sam Page’s side will also take confidence from the reverse fixture earlier this season, when they successfully defended 170 at Hamilton Crescent by dismissing GHK for 127. The hosts currently occupy sixth place after suffering a DLS defeat to Renfrew last weekend, with the visitors chasing down a revised target of 205. With rain once again forecast both sides will be hoping the weather allows for another competitive derby.

Partick XI vs GHK Strathclyde

At Hamilton Crescent, the Partick XI welcome GHK Strathclyde for the second meeting between the sides this season. West claimed a comprehensive nine wicket victory in the reverse fixture at Old Anniesland on the opening day of the campaign, comfortably chasing 120 thanks in large part to an unbeaten 63 from Ramsay Brown. Chris Ross’s side will be looking to build on last weekend’s convincing win over Cambusdoon and strengthen their position in the Championship Division One table. GHK, meanwhile, arrive on the back of a narrow three wicket defeat to Renfrew, although Hamza Mehmood impressed with the ball, claiming an five wicket haul. First ball is scheduled for 12pm.

LOC Hire The Tryst vs Hamilton Crescent XI

The Hamilton Crescent XI make the trip to Stenhousemuir this weekend to face LOC Hire The Tryst, looking to avenge their opening day defeat back in May. Despite captain Moosa Vakil claiming four wickets in that encounter, West were unable to defend a modest total of 132 and slipped to a three wicket loss. Since then, however, the 3rd XI have enjoyed a marked upturn in form, highlighted by last weekend’s emphatic eight wicket victory over Glenpark, and will be eager to continue that momentum. The Tryst, meanwhile, sit one place below Hamilton Crescent in fifth in the Championship Division Two table after becoming the latest side to fall to league leaders Ferguslie 2nd XI at Meikleriggs last weekend.

Sunday

Sunday XI vs The Forty Club

On Sunday, West prepare again to welcome The Forty Club for their annual fixture at Hamilton Crescent and the second in memory of John Cameron. Both sides will compete for the John Cameron Trophy with a 12pm start and 35 overs scheduled. Members and supporters are invited to show their support for the afternoon and celebrate the life of a true West and XL Club legend.
