West sign Mekyle Pillay for the 2026 season

We are very excited to announce the signing of South African all-rounder Mekyle Pillay ahead of the 2026 season.

The right-handed batter and seam bowler brings first class experience to Hamilton Crescent having played for the Eastern Provisional side, based at Benoni in Gauteng province.

Mekyle comes with plenty of experience of cricket in the UK, including a successful spell with our West District opponents Ferguslie in 2024 where he scored 649 runs and took17 wickets.

He returned to the UK in 2025, joining Plymouth CC in the ECB Devon Premier League and was solid yet again, with 464 runs and 34 wickets.

We are excited to welcome him to the club and look forward to his contributions both on and off the field.
