From the Dressing Room: Low scoring win at Kelburne

Ekaansh Kapila is our latest reviewer - writing about last weekend’s Allied Vehicles West of Scotland victory over Kelburne.

With a rainy start to the day at Whitehaugh, West lost the toss and were sent into bat. West were off to a shaky start with early wickets falling, mainly due to atrociousness of the wicket. However, opener Carrasco was able to hold it together with a solid 17 which was at least worth 50 on that wicket. By the end of the first innings West were able to scrape their way to 81 all out after 36.5 overs.

Opening bowlers Pillay and Fry set the tone superbly with figures of (10-3-21-3) and (8-2-14-1) respectively. Setting Kelburne back to 38-4 by the 19th over. However, the star of the show was James Fennah taking a phenomenal 6 wickets including a brilliant Hat-Trick. With such brilliant performances Kelburne were bowled all out for 46 after 27.4 overs, allowing for West to mark their 4th win this season in the Prem.
